Adam Hurley and Jenna Dorward tied the knot beside one of more than 400 hay bales on the ground in my paddock. The 6pm intimate ceremony, perfect in the dry season, was witnessed by Jenna’s parents who travelled from Maffra in Victoria for the very special occasion.

On a very warm afternoon here in the tropics, Joshua Chevalier-Brine and Viven Rodrigo were joined in marriage at the Katherine Museum’s Botanic Gardens. During the ceremony, all Viven’s five year old son Brian wanted to do was climb up on a huge sandstone rock, just behind the couple. Thankfully he was restrained gently but firmly until the ceremony was over. Following the ceremony, guests drove to Kumbidgee Lodge for the reception. During the evening, the beautiful wedding cake made by Kumbidgee staff was cut, disclosing the gender reveal of the precious baby Viven is carrying. Congratulations and may you enjoy a long and very happy marriage.

Alan James and his beautiful bride to be, Kym Egan from Lajamanu, 560 kilometres from Katherine in the NT celebrated one of the biggest days of their lives by marrying at a breathtaking venue. Katherine Helicopters took just six of us on an exhilarating flight through all thirteen of the Katherine gorges, while viewing the Jatbula Trail and spring-fed water falls from above before landing on a very remote helipad for the beautiful late afternoon ceremony.
Katie Melder, the photographer, took exquisite photos of the happy couple to last a lifetime, while Kym's sister, Roslyn, who was a witness and ring bearer stood proudly with the bride and groom. Meanwhile, our pilot John Armstrong, was the other ring bearer, held the bride’s bouquet, witnessed the signing of the register, and at sunset, served champagne and nibbles before flying us all home safely. What an absolutely unforgettable experience.

A wonderful time was had by more than 120 family and friends who witnessed the marriage of Nick Ormsby and Whitney Dollemore on their rural property, Razor Rock Farm on the outskirts of Katherine NT. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds flew by helicopter to Katherine Gorge for photos, while the guests enjoyed catching up with each other and sipping their favourite beverage before the newlyweds returned. A sumptuous meal followed, under the stars, where the food was served on the longest table I have ever seen at a wedding.

The Trembath family property was the venue for the late afternoon wedding of Rupert and Sally on 6th of June 2023. The bridesmaids danced down the aisle carrying bouquets of flowers grown for the occasion by Jeremy Trembath. The guests waved metre-long sparklers as the newlyweds danced the bridal waltz. A lovely time was had by all.

Both working in the mine in Kalgoorlie, WA Nicole Sharp and Dave Essery were married in the pristine gardens of the Katherine Holiday Park, after which they had a surprise helicopter flight, to the delight of both families.
