This Friday Sue Carney and I are giving a Beekeeping for Beginners workshop. There still are a few places but you will have to get in quick.

Have a hands on experience with beekeeping, at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Garden. See how bee hives work and find out how to keep bees. Discover beekeeping, put on a bee suit and have a look inside a bee hive (weather permitting).

I love beekeeping and watching these fascinating tiny insects engrossed in their activities. I find it meditative. Everything I learn about bees and beekeeping makes me admire these creatures even more. Sometimes in our lives it can feel like we are on a treadmill, unconnected to nature, and we might wonder what impact our lives really have? Are we making a difference? Do our lives have value?

Beekeeping has given me a purpose. I know my bees are benefiting the planet. While most human pursuits can damage the environment- even beekeeping if done the wrong way. I know through my beekeeping; I am helping the environment.

I would like to share this beekeeping world with you and have a Beekeeping for Beginners workshop on the 29th of October at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. Places are limited, so get in quick.
