The glamour of winemaking. Getting your hands, and feet, dirty.

With vintage about wrapped up, the team spent the past few weeks digging out tanks and preparing wines for their next chapter in barrel. Once fermentation was complete, the remaining skins were removed, the wine was pressed, and transferred to oak to settle and evolve over the months ahead.

One of the less photogenic jobs in the winery, but one of the most satisfying. Another vintage milestone ticked off, with the 2026 wines now resting quietly in barrel.

Our new Cellar Door is still on the way, but in the meantime you can find us inside the winery for a tasting at our pop-up cellar door.

Drop in for a glass, taste through the range and take a look behind the scenes with one of our winery tours. It’s a more informal way to experience Small Wonder, surrounded by barrels, tanks and the wines mid-journey through winter.

Open throughout the season. Bookings available online.

At Small Wonder, great wine begins with caring for the land that makes it possible.

Across our vineyards and properties, we work with a deep respect for the surrounding flora and fauna, recognising that healthy ecosystems are essential to thoughtful farming and expressive wines.

For wine lovers, this is the kind of tasting you rarely get access to.
A side-by-side exploration of Tasmania’s north (Tamar) and south (Coal River Vally), tasting vineyard parcels, unreleased wines, and seeing exactly how place shapes what ends up in the glass.

Led by winemaker Ockie Myburgh in the Barrel Hall, this is a deeper look at Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir through the lens of site, climate and craftsmanship.

If you love the detail behind great wine, this one’s for you.

Matt has been a key member of the team since we acquired Oriele Vineyard in the Coal River Valley. Working alongside Bryn, he has helped guide the vineyard through its transition to organic farming. No small undertaking in a cool-climate site.

There's nowhere quite like a working winery on the weekend. The week drops away. What's left is open air, the quiet calm of the red fermentation hall, and cool-climate wines worth slowing down for. Each sip a record of the season it was grown. Now available at our pop-up cellar door, set amongst our organically certified winery.

Our new Cellar Door is taking shape, but in the meantime, the tasting experience is already here.

For a limited time, join us inside the working winery at our pop-up Cellar Door - a rare chance to taste wines at the heart of where they’re made, before our new home officially opens.

Something special is coming.
