In 2015 Sam and Kirsty purchased a property they had only dreamt of owning in Wistow, South Australia. Over the years, the farm has grown and is now home to over 10 Black Angus cows, a flock of chickens and of course pet dogs and a cat. After years of shift work, Sam and Kirsty knew it was time to make a change and enjoy their farm and family more time. Establishing a range of edible plants and tr
ees, becoming sustainable is what they want to achieve. This is when Driftwood Farm formed. Drift; as a couple Sam and Kirsty have always gotten itchy feet and moved around, drifting everywhere. Wood; the roots of trees being the grounding for them to their dream location. Driftwood Farm is hoping to share their fresh produce grown at Wistow to people from all over the hills, Adelaide and beyond; farm to table. In helping achieve this, whilst they expand and wait for some of their produce to grow and mature, they have partnered up with some local growers from the Adelaide Hills to use their produce. Sam and Kirsty have started their venture by dehydrating the freshest seasonal fruit and produce to intensify all the naturally occurring flavors. No added sugar, additives or preservatives! Their current range is ideal for adding to platters, enjoying on their own, mixing with drinks, school snacks and decorating.
