The vineyard’s unique altitude and location ensure slow, even ripening, allowing us to craft wines with exceptional depth and character. Malcolm Creek Vineyard was established almost 40 years ago by Reg Tolley, third generation winemaker. The vineyard was located on Ashwood Estate and named after Malcolm Creek which runs through the property.

The vines are grown on the property and the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Chardonnay were planted by Reg Tolley when he started the vineyard. Since then Sauvignon Blanc has been added and the plan is to have further varieties available within a few years.

The wait is finally over…

For those who have been asking, waiting — and perhaps wondering when the next “Reginald”would finally arrive — we have some very good news.

After years resting quietly on lees, our 2023 Reginald Blanc de Blanc has reached its final tasting, and yesterday we disgorged a few bottles to see exactly what we had created.

The verdict?
It’s singing.

Bright, refined and beautifully complex, with the freshness, texture and length we look for in our flagship Blanc de Blanc. A wine that has taken patience to make — and one that carries the legacy of its namesake, Reginald Tolley.

Our 2020 vintage disappeared months ago. The 2023 is finally on its way.

Release is planned for the festive season, with very limited quantities available.

If “The Reginald” is destined for your Christmas table, we strongly recommend getting your name on the list early.

Some wines are worth waiting for. This is one of them. 🥂

For the first time in our history, our little Vineyard and Cellar Door has gone back to back with 95 points and a Gold Medal with James Halliday Wine Companion. Our 2021 and 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon definitely is creating memories and getting the attention it deserves. Take a read of what Mike Bennie had to say. Both wines are available to purchase at the Cellar Door despite the 2022 not being officially released yet.
