Ingredients
1kg Beef brisket
1 Tbs Olive oil
4 cups of Beef stock
1/4 cup Miris Gourmet Mustard
1 Tbs minced Garlic
2/3 sprigs fresh Rosemary optional
3 Tbs Honey
3/4 cup Miris BBQ Sauce
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
Sauce - 1 Tbs plain flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
1. In a pan heat olive oil and brown brisket on all sides
2. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together
3. Add meat to slow cooker / large enamel pan
4. Pour liquid into slow cooker to cover the meat.
5. Slow cook on high for 4-6hours. With 1hr - 30mins remaining remove meat, slice and put back into the slow cooker. Taste the liquid and add more bbq sauce if required.
Oven - 150C (300f) Note if cooking in a heavy set enamel pan… slow cook for 3-4 hours or until meat is cooked
6. Once meat is cooked remove half the liquid into a small pan and add 1tbsp of flour on the stove to thicken the sauce for serving
Serve with potato and carrot mash (as shown in picture),garnish with rosemary
