After the week from hell, Brendon had to close up early today to come home and look after the family.

Seriously. What a week:

• Kids sick as anything. Not even fighting or being naughty.
• smashed window to the van and no one has been able to replace the panel.
• short staffed due to a number of factors that weren’t preventable.
• our village have not being able to help due to recent and serious preventative surgery
• myself (Nic). Feeling under the weather due to a flare up of PCOS.

Apologies for any inconvenience. He is a family man first and foremost.

See you in the morning though. 7am - 12:30pm.

We are unfortunately the above and Understaffed today (badly).

One of our staff have suffered a non work related injury that has made work impossible for several weeks and we hope that they have a speedy but complete recovery.

It’s just Brendon today. Apologies for any inconvenience.

I was honoured to be recognised on the NSW Hidden Treasures Honour Roll this week, but what means even more to me is being part of a community that values the people who quietly get in and make things happen.

Thank you to everyone that had a nice word or helped me along the way. I loved standing side by side with good humans that were also honoured but I am honoured to call Sabrina Kelly and Esther Keenan friends.

For me, that's the Kiama Show Society. It's so much more than one weekend a year. It's about preserving our local heritage, supporting our farmers and producers, creating opportunities for the next generation, and keeping an important part of Kiama's history alive.

If you've ever thought about getting involved, we'd love to have you. Whether you've got an hour to spare or want to dive right in, every pair of hands helps and you'll meet some pretty amazing people along the way.

Communities isn’t made by wealth, policy, or by accident. Communities are built when people choose to be part of them.

Hey. You may have had a few or more at Kiama Leagues Club or even got a bit dusty at one of the venues in town over the weekend. Good for you!

But. You’ve left behind your shoes. Our Charming Butcher isn’t going to come around and check if the glass slipper fits unfortunately, so if these are yours, please come and collect asap.
