A MESSAGE FROM BLOCK N TACKLE BREWERY
Like many small businesses, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to manage rising costs while continuing to offer the quality b**r, food and experience you’ve come to expect from us.
Over the past year, we’ve seen significant increases across the board — including the recent removal of card payment surcharges, supplier and ingredient costs due to diesel increases, electricity, and increasing interest rates. At the same time, revenue has been softer than in previous years. Together, these pressures mean we need to make a few changes to how we operate.
From October 13th, we’ll be making the following changes:
Taproom closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays
We’ll be closing the taproom on Tuesday and Wednesday each week to consolidate and better match our opening hours with customer demand and help manage operating costs.
9% weekend surcharge
A 9% surcharge will apply to purchases in the taproom on weekends. This helps us absorb some of the new additional costs we’re facing, particularly increased supplier, operating and payment costs.

We’re making these changes because we want to avoid increasing the general price of our food and drinks wherever possible, in particular the times you visit the most! We know everyone is feeling the pinch, and keeping our everyday prices as accessible as we can is important to us.
And there are still plenty of ways to get more value at Block n Tackle:
Block Bucks — use your Block Bucks to save on your next visit.
Weekday Happy Hour — enjoy great-value drinks during happy hour.
$15 pizzas after 5:30pm on weekdays — because good b**r deserves good pizza!
We know changes like these aren’t always welcome, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding.
