Since 2008 we have been working on Peter Andrews philosophy of maintaining the water in our landscape with amazing results.
We have made any number of errors along with our wins and we still haven’t got it 100% right ,... but results speak for themselves.
In February 2008 we had 20mm of rain ..after 2 years of drought endured by previous owners, it rushed off in a brown frothy mess , leaving the property dry the next day, even the gullies (creek beds) had no residual water. Only 3 years later and the same month, nearly the same rain 22mm, it only traveled for a few hundred meters and water remained in pools until February the following year,
2017, 2018 ,. no water has run off the property, most of it absorbs in the wider landscape before it even hits creek beds the creek beds haven’t filled to capacity , pools remain until late summer or autumn and plants are gaining back control of the landscape. We still have lots to do, but once understood its simple and cheap, Anyone can do it.
