Tulips are a little bit rude like that.

They arrive.
They make a spectacular entrance.
They have their moment.
And then, just like that… they’re gone.

These beauties were flowering on the farm last week, and there are no more to be picked today.

That’s the thing about growing flowers seasonally. We don’t get to have every flower, every colour, all year round.

And honestly? I think that’s what makes them special.

Post workshop, I am staring at these pretty leftovers and feeling an immediate surge of creative inspiration. I love working with what ive got to transform these scraps into something entirely new. It is truly satisfying to craft a unique piece rather than just discarding everything into the bin.

Five little words that sit at the heart of every Creative Pause.

It’s such a privilege to create these spaces — to open the farm gate, gather women around the table, make something with our hands, share a cuppa and give ourselves permission to slow down for a while.

I’m very grateful to everyone who has come along and helped make these mornings what they are.

Here’s to creating more little pockets of connection, creativity and calm.

Having my events captured by photographers is the freakin’ best.

These images from E M Images, along with recent images ive posted from Ellie ✨ Wedding Photographer and Sam - Grampians Photographer make my heart sing.

I can plan an event, style a table, grow the flowers, arrange the blooms and create the whole vibe… but somehow I never quite capture the mood and aesthetic of it all when i snap a few quick pics with ny phone.

That’s where a good photographer is worth their weight in gold.

They capture the little details, the atmosphere, the people, the flowers, the mess, the magic — all the things I was too busy running around enjoying to photograph myself.

So grateful to have such talented humans capturing the Meadowbrooke moments.

First look at today's Creative Pause at the farm.

Today we gathered with Jennifer O’Meara, Perinatal Psychologist, for a morning of slowing down, checking in and making a little space for ourselves.

There was conversation, laughter, flowers, cups of tea and those moments where you realise you’re not the only one carrying a full plate.

Jennifer brought such a thoughtful perspective on overwhelm, connection and the very real juggle of being a woman, a mum and part of rural life.

And while we talked, created and connected, Edwina Moutray quietly captured the day — the little moments, the big laughs and all the in-between bits that make these days so special.

I’m incredibly grateful that this little farm has become a place where women can come together, take a breath and leave feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.

Thank you to everyone who joined me today.

And to Jennifer and Edwina — thank you for helping make the day what it was.
