Flowers picked from the garden yesterday 💛🩷

Practising my arranging using chicken wire & compote vase. I don’t use floral foam. Arranging flowers is actually so hard, it’s such an art and I have so much to learn!

This bowl smells so amazing can’t wait for flowers to be filling my kitchen again this Spring - not long now!

Also this shelf is for school bags storage haha need to add a little curtain at the bottom!

There is still lots happening in the garden over winter! This winter green manure mix sowed on top of one of the dahlia rows is ready to mow. I’m going to try something new this year with our green manure crops & will share if I remember to take pics !!

I hope the dahlias are making lots of baby tubers under here - I’ll dig and divide them in Spring.

Green manure is just one way I try to keep building and improving our heavy clay soil so we have healthy plants and don’t have to spray! ✨🌈

I’ve been trying to cut these rose zinnias back to save the seed but I can’t bring myself to do it yet because the butterflies love them. We have sooo many butterflies at the moment, has anyone else noticed that too?
This is exactly why we don’t spray our flowers xx
