I’ve been trying to cut these rose zinnias back to save the seed but I can’t bring myself to do it yet because the butterflies love them. We have sooo many butterflies at the moment, has anyone else noticed that too?
This is exactly why we don’t spray our flowers xx

Autumn planting 🌼

I love using ice cream containers for seeds. How good does this block look - like a big cake!

Stock is so easy to germinate and I learned last year I can plant them out pretty early while they’re quite small which is a good time saver to get my pots back for other seeds. Stock smells amazing and is one of the first plants to bloom in early spring - the only down side is it’s one cut and done! But I think they’re worth it.

Autumn is the best time to start lots of Spring seeds! I am busy busy trying to save seeds from summer plants, flip beds, compost everything. Need to get the ranuculus in ASAP!

Still have some pretty chrysanthemums blooming! 🩷

I hope all the mums, mums to be, grannies and women who are missing their own mums and babies had a big spoil today.

I’ve been totally looked after with sleep in, bacon and eggs, mimosas, homemade pressies from my babies and a trip to Wingham Nursery and Florist to buy some roses 🌈

Highlight seeing this magnificent tree dahlia at a home garden in Wingham and chatting to the owner! This one is now straight to the top of the garden wishlist!!! Please let me know if you have one and are willing to share cuttings! 🩷🌸

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today I am blown away! I have not stopped making flower bunches since 8am & I topped up the stall 4 times!! It was lovely to meet some of you 🩷

I will still have plenty of flowers for the roadside stall tomorrow (sat) since all my pre orders are now made up. So the Sunnyside stall will be open at 9am I’ll have at least 10+ $30 bunches down there ###x

Probably sold out Sunday so don’t leave it too late!!

This weekend marks our end of season and we will be closed until Spring 2026 - I’m soaking in the buckets and armfuls of flowers while I still can!
I have learned sooo much about growing this season & am way better at seed raising (still not good at labelling) I’ve also learned locally grown farm flowers are the BEST FLOWERS!!!
