A message we just received from Daniel Martin Mota, freshly crowned Spanish National Champion in Class 1 at the French & Spanish Championships in Laragne:

"I'm writing to share some amazing news: I won the Spanish Nationals at the French-Spanish Open in Laragne 2026! It's been a tough week flying against a high-level international fleet in legendary spots like Chabre and Mont Chalvet, but the glider performed amazingly — super stable, with brutal performance that let me make the difference on the trickiest tasks. Huge thanks for building such an incredible machine — this victory is yours too!"

The French & Spanish Combined Championships in Laragne, France wrapped up after 3 tasks.
While leading the last day, UK pilot Darren Brown watched fellow competitor Jochen Zeischka tumble and throw his reserve. In Darren's own words: he circled down over 800m to watch Jochen land and make sure he was OK. Jochen landed safely.
The organisers honoured the position Darren held before the voluntary loss of altitude, awarding him the Day win for Task 3 and 2nd Overall. Good on you Darren!

1st Attila Bertok (Hungary) — Moyes RX 5 Pro
2nd Darren Brown (UK) — Moyes RX 3.5 Pro
3rd Christian Ciech (Italy)

1st and 2nd on Moyes. Well flown all round.

Forbes Team Challenge Competition — Forbes, NSW
One of the world's great flatland flying sites. Spring conditions. Experienced mentors. Real competition experience in a relaxed, team-based format.
The Forbes Team Competition is designed to build skills, foster camaraderie, and give every pilot — from supervised to advanced — a genuine taste of competitive hang gliding.
The Format
Teams of 3-6 are balanced across experience levels, each led by a seasoned team leader. Every morning: a briefing, a task, a shared launch, and a flight to goal — scored by glider category with a handicap system.
You'll work your instruments, read the weather, fly a course, chase goal, and download your flight. Whether it's your first comp or your fiftieth, you'll leave a better pilot.

🏆 Two Moyes pilots on the podium at the British/Czech Championships!
Five days of flying at Laragne in the French Alps wrapped up the 2026 British/Czech Hang Gliding Championships. Congratulations to Christian Ciech on the overall win — and huge credit to our own Moyes Boys, Grant Crossingham (2nd) and Attila Bertok (3rd, Hungary), for taking two of the three podium spots.
On top of that, Grant claimed his 11th British Championship title — 8 in a row. 🔥
Grant gave a great shoutout to fellow pilot Gordon Rigg, who lent him a spare glider after Grant's own glider fell over while rigging on day three. Great sportsmanship from Gordon — the kind of thing that makes this community what it is.
