Some people have a Saturday morning coffee ritual. I reckon buying fresh flowers from your local flower farmer should be one too. 🌼👒

And I happen to know a little flower stand tucked away in the Kurrajong Hills that might just be worth adding to your weekend wander.

The Farmstand will be restocked again this Saturday morning!

Each week, you’ll find a changing little selection of mixed seasonal bunches, single-variety stems, flowers for drying and gift jars, all depending on what’s blooming in the fields.

No two weekends will look quite the same, and that’s the beauty of shopping with the seasons.

A little midweek flower joy! 🌸🌿

Thankfully some colour is heading out tomorrow to help brighten up this week.

I won’t lie, October is certainly keeping this flower farmer on her toes! Between the warmer days, increasing pest pressure and ever-changing weather, I’m starting to feel that some of our beautiful spring blooms might be saying goodbye a little sooner than I’d hoped.

I’m doing my best to keep the flowers happy, healthy and blooming for as long as Mother Nature allows.

On a brighter note, summer sowing is well underway, and the first of our summer plugs have started arriving! 🌱

With flowers a little limited this week, unfortunately there won’t be a drop at The Butler’s Pantry.

However, you’ll still be able to find some midweek flower joy at Sciberras Produce from 9am Wednesday!

Making the most of these beautiful spring blooms while they’re still here.

This Saturday, the Farmstand Flower Market is open!

Freshly picked, locally grown seasonal flowers from right here at Kurrajong Ridge Flower Farm. Mixed farmer’s bunches, single-variety bunches, and whatever is looking especially beautiful in the field this week.

And because flowers for the table were always meant to come with fresh bread…

We’ll also have locally baked, handmade organic sourdough by Food For Your Soul available at the stand. Because really, flowers + fresh bread sounds like a pretty lovely Saturday to me.

Meet this week’s cast… ✨

A few new faces have officially made the cut this week and are finding their way into the harvest buckets, changing the spring palette once again.

After the few days of rain we had, I’ve given the field an extra day to do its thing and a few more flowers a chance to open, which means this week’s spring flowers will be landing at Sciberras Produce + The Butler’s Pantry tomorrow.

Catch them from 10am until sold out this Thursday.

Freshly picked + grown just down the road at Kurrajong Ridge.

A quiet little love letter to white. 🤍

The brief: no colour required. Just a Bloom Bucket full of locally grown whites.

Sometimes simple really is enough.

Although, turns out white has plenty to say.

I spend so much time waiting for the next flowers that I sometimes forget to notice the ones already leaving the farm gate.

And a lot of flowers left last week. 🌸

Bloom Buckets headed off for celebrations with , midweek flowers made their way to , weekend bunches landed at , and some everlasting beauties went out to the lovely clients at .

And somewhere in between all of that, there was harvesting, conditioning, buckets everywhere, seedlings being planted out, motherhood, another business and a homestead to run… and plenty of checking (and rechecking) what might be coming next.

There’s always something I’m looking ahead to around here.

What needs planting. What’s nearly ready. What I’m waiting on. What I’m hoping will flower next.

That sometimes I forget to stop and notice just how much is already happening.

The fields are changing almost daily now. New flowers are joining the mix, another round is going into the ground, and more and more flowers are finding their way out into the world.

A busy little week at Kurrajong Ridge.

And a nice reminder to occasionally look back at what grew before rushing off to grow the next thing. 🤍

A week of swapping my flower grower’s hat for my florist’s.

Tired hands, long days in different ways, and so much beauty.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me to create flowers for the mothers they love.

It was a magical week.

My heart is full. 🌸

It didn’t start as a homestead…

But it was always becoming one.

It started with the farmhouse we designed and built ourselves, on land already known as Kurrajong Ridge.

But if I’m honest…
it was never just about the house.

It was about what this place could become.

A life that grows alongside the land
not separate from it.

Flower fields that shift with the seasons.
Veggie beds that feed us, in their own time.
Animals that give back more than they take.
Spaces that hold the work, the tools, the rhythm of it all.

The early mornings, the acreage chores the kind of days that are full… but never rushed.

Because a homestead isn’t something you create all at once.

It’s shaped slowly
by hands
by weather
by love
by the life lived within it

And maybe that’s why so many of us feel drawn to it…

Not because we want more to do, but because we want something that feels real again.

This place… Kurrajong Ridge Homestead
holds all of that for us now.

It’s something we’ve grown into season by season, day by day.

And somewhere along the way…
it starts shaping you too.

You can’t rush a life that’s meant to be lived in.
