A little roadside flower market, filled each week with whatever’s looking its best out in the field. Cut fresh, at their best, and ready for you.

Come past, see what’s been picked and choose the ones you love most. Maybe it’s a particular variety, a favourite colour, or a few bunches to take home and arrange your own way.

What would you pick if they weren’t for anyone but you?

Because flowers don’t need an occasion.
They just need a place in your week.

The bunch you take home from Kurrajong Ridge isn’t really the finished arrangement.

That’s one of my favourite things about farm fresh flowers.

Picked at the right stage, they’re still doing their thing long after they leave the field. Buds keep opening, shapes change, colours deepen. Somehow the bunch on your bench looks a little different every morning.

And I don’t usually get to see that part.

I grow them, pick them, bunch them up and send them on their way. I have no idea which vase they end up in, which new flower has opened since yesterday, or which one you’re waiting to see open next.

So when a message like this comes back to me? It means more than they probably realise.

Still blooming. Still changing. Still showing off a little.

Exactly what I hoped they’d do. 🌱

The field-grown unpinched snapdragons have entered the chat.

Snapdragon Trial ~Part Two 🌱

Same season. Same farm. Different growing conditions and already, I’m noticing a difference.

So far, I’m definitely preferring the unpinched field-grown stems over the unpinched tunnel-grown ones.

They’re giving me much stronger and better quality stems to harvest.

But this is exactly why I wanted to run the trial.

Rather than deciding there’s one “right” way to grow them, I want to see what actually works best here in my soil, in my climate, and for the kind of flowers I want to grow.

Next up, we’ll see what happens when the pinched snapdragons join the comparison.

The experiment continues. 🌱

There’s a point every season when my harvesting bucket suddenly stops looking like a harvesting bucket… and starts looking like a bouquet.

I think we’ve reached it.

Flowers gathered from all over the field, different varieties finally flowering at the same time, somehow all ending up together in my arms.

After months of planting, tending, waiting and wondering, this bit feels pretty special.

And we’re only just getting started.

The fields are waking up, the days are getting longer and soon these flowers will be heading out the gate and into your homes again.

I have a feeling we’re going to have a beautiful season.

Here’s to more flowers finding their way into ordinary days.🌼✨

I think this might be my favourite sign that spring has arrived.

This is the moment I noticed it this week.

The beginning of another season of growing, gathering and sharing flowers from Kurrajong Ridge.

Our Maryland snapdragons are now available while they last.

A week of swapping my flower grower’s hat for my florist’s.

Tired hands, long days in different ways, and so much beauty.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me to create flowers for the mothers they love.

It was a magical week.

My heart is full. 🌸

It didn’t start as a homestead…

But it was always becoming one.

It started with the farmhouse we designed and built ourselves, on land already known as Kurrajong Ridge.

But if I’m honest…
it was never just about the house.

It was about what this place could become.

A life that grows alongside the land
not separate from it.

Flower fields that shift with the seasons.
Veggie beds that feed us, in their own time.
Animals that give back more than they take.
Spaces that hold the work, the tools, the rhythm of it all.

The early mornings, the acreage chores the kind of days that are full… but never rushed.

Because a homestead isn’t something you create all at once.

It’s shaped slowly
by hands
by weather
by love
by the life lived within it

And maybe that’s why so many of us feel drawn to it…

Not because we want more to do, but because we want something that feels real again.

This place… Kurrajong Ridge Homestead
holds all of that for us now.

It’s something we’ve grown into season by season, day by day.

And somewhere along the way…
it starts shaping you too.

You can’t rush a life that’s meant to be lived in.
