Tired hands, long days in different ways, and so much beauty.

It didn’t start as a homestead…

But it was always becoming one.

It started with the farmhouse we designed and built ourselves, on land already known as Kurrajong Ridge.

But if I’m honest…
it was never just about the house.

It was about what this place could become.

A life that grows alongside the land
not separate from it.

Flower fields that shift with the seasons.
Veggie beds that feed us, in their own time.
Animals that give back more than they take.
Spaces that hold the work, the tools, the rhythm of it all.

The early mornings, the acreage chores the kind of days that are full… but never rushed.

Because a homestead isn’t something you create all at once.

It’s shaped slowly
by hands
by weather
by love
by the life lived within it

And maybe that’s why so many of us feel drawn to it…

Not because we want more to do, but because we want something that feels real again.

This place… Kurrajong Ridge Homestead
holds all of that for us now.

It’s something we’ve grown into season by season, day by day.

And somewhere along the way…
it starts shaping you too.

You can’t rush a life that’s meant to be lived in.

It was never really just flowers 🌼✨

The last bunch of my Summer Ritual of Joy flower subscription went out last week… and I felt it.

Not because it’s over
but because of what it became.

What started as “just a subscription”
quietly turned into something my clients built their weeks around. Slower mornings, A moment at the bench, something to look forward to that wasn’t rushed, loud or urgent.

And that part…

you don’t really understand it until you’re in it.

To all my amazing clients who were part of this first Spring/Summer here at KRH…
you didn’t just receive flowers.

You created a rhythm with them, for yourself…and for me also and I felt that every single time a bunch left the gate.

Thank you. Truly.

Now the garden softens. The pace shifts
And I’m letting this season land… while already dreaming into the next because next time it won’t just be a bouquet of flowers either.

It’ll be deeper.
More intentional.
Even more of a ritual.

After a few seasons of doing this… here’s what no one tells you about building a life like this.

It doesn’t look the way you think it will.
And most of the time… it’s in the parts you almost don’t bother sharing.

Not in the blooms.

But here in the quiet, in the shifting seasons,
in the days that look the same, but aren’t.
Hands full of seedlings.
Trays moving from one space to the next.
Plans changing as the land asks for something different.

This life isn’t just what you see when everything is flowering it’s the work that holds it all together.

And lately… I’ve been deep in that part.

Expanding from three growing spaces into six next season. Making room for more flowers, more beauty, more of the life I’ve been building.

And in between it all, the first seedlings sown in March are reaching, alongside early autumn sow herbs and vegetables quietly settling in.

A reminder I come back to often...that something is always growing, even when it looks like nothing is.

Still here.

Three generations…
grandmother, mother, daughter
all held in the same moment,
in the same light 🌸

the love that’s been carried,
the stories that live between them,

just being together

There’s something
about letting children just be…

running through the flowers,
hands full, gathering more and more as they go
completely in their own little world ✨

Henry was in his element…
picking flowers, chasing ducks, climbing,
exploring
his bunch growing bigger by the minute 🌸

and little Ruby…
just 14 months old,
the sweetest little presence
smiling, watching, taking it all in 🤍

alongside her mum and grandmother…
these are the moments that matter
the ones you don’t realise are everything until
you have them in your hands

soft, playful, real
just as it should be
