Hey guys

I got in touch with Geoff from Bloody Good Jerky today, as I wanted to reach out and offer whatever support I could (albeit small).

He is another local family guy, making jerky to high standards too.
He has even won a few trophies.
Nice bloke, and great family tradition.

VAYDR JERKY CLOSING

Vaydr Jerky family.

It's with a heavy heart, I have to announce the end of Vaydr Jerky.

My aim in starting this, was to never compromise on anything.
Not on ingredients, flavour, or service.
With that, I can hold my head high.

Small business is an eternal struggle.

Over the past few months, I have tried everything in my power to make this work, but ultimately, my family's financial future is my main goal.

I have met amazing & loyal customers over this journey, and awesome retail partners who are great promotors of family run business.

I will miss the interactions the most.

A huge thankyou to my best mate Andrew, for the awesome graphic design for the company.

Another huge thankyou to all my family & friends for all their love and support for me to follow my little dream, all those years ago.

And lastly, but definitely not least.
My undying love & affection to my beautiful wife Rachael (aka Mrs Vaydr).
You are the spiritual queen of Vaydr Jerky, and chief taste tester (due to me being a vego).
Your love & support made me realise a dream.
I will never forget.

I still will have no regrets.
I took a chance, and jumped headlong into it.
I've learnt so much along the way.

From the kindness of strangers, to the sharp pain of people stepping on your shoulders to build themselves up.

I will hold my head high, and keep telling myself what I did at the start of this:
" I would rather try & fail, then to not try and never know".

I have about 20kg of meat I will make jerky for family, and after that, selling my gear, and re-purposing my little backyard kitchen (Jerky HQ) into a hobby room/studio.

So, for the last time.......
