🧄Freezing garlic 🧄
Freezing is a great option if you want your garlic to last well beyond the season.

Peeled cloves can be frozen in an airtight container or sealed bag for 6–12 months.

Just make sure they’re peeled first — frozen skins are nearly impossible to remove.

For convenience, try freezing chopped garlic in ice cube trays with a little water. Once frozen, you can pop out a cube whenever you need it and add it straight to your cooking.

While frozen garlic isn’t quite as punchy as fresh, it’s a simple way to keep your supply going right through the colder months.

He didn’t wear medals.
He didn’t choose the war.

But he served.

Loyal. Steady.
By their side through it all.

A single poppy held gently —
not for glory, but for remembrance.

Because service wasn’t only human.
And sacrifice didn’t always have a voice.

This stands for all of them…
the ones who followed, protected, and never left.

In honour of all who served.
Lest We Forget.

Where would we be without garlic? 🧄

It finds its way into just about every meal.
It’s a pantry essential, but fresh garlic doesn’t last forever — eventually it’ll sprout or go soft. With a bit of prep and the right storage, you can stretch it out for months. Here’s how to make the most of your garlic.

🧄Storing garlic in the fridge 🧄
Whole bulbs and the fridge don’t mix they’ll sprout quickly, so keep them out. But peeled or chopped garlic can go in the fridge.
If you’ve peeled extra cloves, store them in a sealed container or bag so they’re not exposed to air. This helps stop them drying out. Peeled cloves will keep for about a week.
If you’ve chopped garlic ahead of time, that can be refrigerated too. Store it in an airtight container and use it within 2–3 days. If you notice any discolouration, it’s time to toss it.

This year we’ll be overwintering most of our dahlias 🌸, but I’m taking expressions of interest for specific varieties.

In spring, before we dig and divide, I’ll contact those who’ve registered interest to confirm availability.

Dahlia tubers will be priced between $12–$20, with clumps at $50 (pick-up only for clumps).

Send a message and I will share the varieties available
