🐑 A SOUTH AUSTRALIAN RECORD FOR LAMPATA PASTORAL! 🐑

What a fantastic result at last week’s Lameroo Blue Ribbon Off Shears Sale!

We were incredibly proud to see our 1½-year-old Poll Merino ewes achieve a South Australian record price of $512 per head! 👏🔥

This result is a great reward for the direction we’re taking our breeding program and the focus we place on producing genuine dual-purpose sheep with the genetics, growth and structure to perform in commercial flocks.

A massive thank you to the purchasers for their confidence in our sheep, along with the underbidders who helped create such a strong market.

We’d also like to acknowledge the agents and everyone behind the scenes who worked hard to make the sale such a success. These results don’t happen without plenty of people putting in the effort, and we sincerely appreciate the support.

It’s exciting to see the demand for quality, genetically proven sheep that combine performance, productivity and profitability.

It honestly doesn’t get much better than this! 🙌

We’re currently in the middle of shearing our biggest wool clip ever — and quite possibly our best. 🐑✂️

At the same time, we’re putting the finishing touches on our crops with their final fungicide applications, and with the way the season is shaping up, we could be heading towards potentially our best harvest ever. 🌾

It’s one of those times on the farm where you stop, look around and appreciate just how good things are going.

A massive thank you to everyone who helps us do what we do — our family, staff, contractors, agronomists, suppliers, clients and everyone else who plays a part in getting the job done.

Farming is a team effort, and we certainly couldn’t do it without you.

From sheep to crops, it’s all coming together at Lampata.
And right now… we’re pretty happy to be on cloud nine! ☁️🐑🌾

🔥 LAMPATA PASTORAL – 1½ YEAR OLD EWES🔥

We’re extremely proud of this line of 1½-year-old ewes and are really looking forward to offering them at the 2026 Lameroo Blue Ribbon Off Shears Sale on Friday, October 9.

They certainly haven’t let us down this season — and neither has the season! 🌱🐑

These ewes are really showing the direction we’re taking our genetics, with growth, shape, wool and doing ability all coming together in a genuine dual-purpose Poll Merino ewe.

They are surplus to our stud and commercial flock, but that doesn’t mean they’re anything less than the type of ewe we want to breed more of. In fact, we’re very excited about what these genetics are producing and the future potential they offer.

At Lampata, our focus remains simple:

MEAT • WOOL • FERTILITY
