I have been informed this is an "echidna train" is a single-file line of male echidnas following a single female during the winter breeding season. Triggered by powerful pheromones, up to 10 males may trail one female for up to six weeks before she selects a single mate! ❤️

What a season we’re having. Our big truffle hunts are in full swing and the numbers are wild — we’ve already harvested 33kg and we’re only just hitting the halfway mark. Last year’s total was 24kg, so 2026 is shaping up to be something truly special. The soil is singing this winter.

This clever little pooch was hard at work truffle hunting on Sunday… just look at those paws - no longer white, but proudly truffle‑dirty. She slept like an absolute baby yesterday afternoon after all that hard work.
