Dulcito Culture Week #1 : “Poleros”Some walked miles to sell ice cream.
We just carry their story forward.
Before the shops, before the branding…
there were people walking kilometres
with a cooler and a mission.
In Venezuela and almost all latin america, “los poleros” were more than street vendors.
they were moving businesses.
Walking 10, sometimes 20+ kilometres a day under the sun,
knocking on doors, crossing neighbourhoods,
turning every step into a sale, every smile into a memory.
They weren’t just selling ice cream…
they were bringing relief, joy, and a moment of sweetness to people in the middle of the heat.
That same spirit lives in us.
Dulcito didn’t start in a shop.
It started selling sweets at school in Latin America,
because surviving came first.
Then came Australia…
door to door, with broken English,
just courage, product, and belief.
Then markets.
Then malls.
And now?
We’re still walking.
Because this was never just about desserts —
it’s about how far you’re willing to go for a mission.
…y quién sabe lo que esta por venir.
Maybe the moon. Maybe the beach?🏖️
