We have kindly donated 10 straws of Uandi Eliminator 1Y (Lot 33) to this year’s Rare Breeds Trust of Australia Charity Auction.

He is the sire of our multiple Supreme Champion winning female, Wattle Grove Kimora Madame.

Eliminator 1Y was a Canadian embryo imported in the late 1980s. He was a fullblood, red and white, horned bull, renowned for his softness, length, and high growth rates. His females were also known for their excellent milk capacity.

His grandsire, EPINAL, was one of the first Maine Anjou bulls imported into Australia and is still used by breeders today.

The straws are stored in two locations and are available for pickup from the Mid North Coast, NSW, or at Holbrook Breeders. Any shipping, despatch, insurance or transfer fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.

The Rare Breeds Trust of Australia's annual fundraiser auction is running from 15 to 21 May. The purpose of the auction is to raise funds to support acquisition and storage of genetic material for conservation of rare and endangered livestock. We are posting auction items regularly as we head towards 15 May to give you a taste of what's coming up in the auction.

Today was artificial insemination day for a local Maine Anjou breeder in Croki NSW.

We are thankful for the opportunity to have supplied the Maine Anjou semen and carried out the AI program for them.

In total, this program was made up of thirteen Maine Anjou cows and seven AI Sires including Uandi Mr Supreme, KFN Beefmaker Express, Cunia, Uandi Polled Express, Uandi Le Premier, Uandi Eliminator 1Y and Arubial Napoleon.

We are excited to see what these genetics will do for their breeding program.

This weekend, we exhibited our cattle at Camden Haven Show with the following results.
☆ Wattle Grove Lamarr Layley was awarded Junior & Grand Champion European Bull
☆ Wattle Grove Lucifers Lad was awarded Reserve Junior Champion European Bull
☆ Wattle Grove Lennon Quin was awarded 1st place in the Lightweight Steer.
☆ Wattle Grove Laverne Madame was awarded 1st in her class
We are very happy to have been in the show ring for the first time since moving our breeding programs to the Manning Valley.
