Today we marked Do It For Dolly day by wearing blue. Here are some of the staff ready for milking or calf feeding.

The Dollys Dream Foundation exists because a young girl was relentlessly bullied both IRL and online and could not go on. It is desperately sad thing that we have young kids and adults that feel that this is their only option for peace.

Dolly’s parents don’t want any other family to go through what they have had to endure, and as such, started the Dolly’s Dream Foundation to provide resources for education and support.

If you are suffering from bullying, please reach out by finding resources and contacts here:

Craiglands will be making a donation to ensure that we can contribute to this very important work.

So we just got a note from Facebook saying that this page will no longer be recommended to others because we are not abiding by guidelines.

I just checked out guidelines and so far as I can see, we are not in breach of any?

I asked for review. Who knows?

UPDATE: it was reversed. Must have been a bot first time round.

Going through emails…. Just opened the 4th letter from a supplier telling me that they are passing on the increased fuel charges.

So I get to pass them onto…..who exactly?

I’m paying extra for my own fuel and now I’m paying for the extra on everyone else’s fuel as well. And, likely will not be able to get as much fertiliser for spring as needed. So the bottom end person (us farmers) are getting hit from everywhere.

Hope you all enjoy your milk and dairy products. It’s getting harder to make them.

EDIT* I get that suppliers are hurting as well. And that they have added fuel costs that impact their biz. Their cost of biz has gone up. But my point is, so has farmers and that is before the added fuel surplus charges from people that deliver to us. Over the past 2 years in sw Vic, the cost of doing biz has already increased substantially. And for dairy farmers in particular, we are unable to negotiate a higher price or pass on our fuel costs to milk suppliers. Because of contracts that were already not forgiving. We can’t wait for the market to turn in our favour and then sell milk then. It doesn’t work like that.
