A new league of goat cheese

Robur Farm Dairy was established in June 2016 on a farm at Sassafras with rolling green clover grass pastures. With a vision to create a new, mild source of goat dairy for Australian consumers, highly regarded Tasmanian cheesemaker and businesswoman Jane Bennett introduced a herd of 260 Saanen breed dairy goats to daily clover feed with a focus on optimal animal welfare practices.

At the farm, the goat herd is naturally cheeky but very calm around humans. Our top priority is our herd’s health. We have implemented a breeding and nutrition program to grow strong, robust goats with a mild, creamy milk supply. Their daily access to clover feed makes their milk naturally sweet - our customers taste the difference! Our goat milk and cheese products can be easier to digest for people with an intolerance to cow milk due to the different protein compounds in goat milk.

Today we make a range of mild, creamy goat cheese styles in a range of flavours for customers across Australia. From spreadable chevre in our ‘crowd pleaser’ flavours herb & garlic or caramelised onion, to our more adventurous flavours such as wasabi or jalapeno, these are ideal as dips or a layer on a burger. The range is dynamic, with our award winning marinated fetta and goat milk also available at independent grocers. Our story continues as we launch our all new kefir; a natural probiotic for healthy gut function and wellbeing.
