So more rain is on the forecast, this means we cannot do anything in the orchard to minimise potential disease to our precious cherry trees. Instead, Andrzej dug out the ripper and once he managed to attach it to the tractor (with the help of our Farm Hand, Carolyn 😁) went on to rip some rows for future bluegum trees which, with the current plantation, will be collected for florists all around the state.
Look at Andrzej go, keep an eye out at the end of him celebrating his achievement...first time ripping! 😁🚜

With another 60mm of rain in the last 24 hours, we are busy clearing the overflow waterways. But while totally soaked we can't help but take a minute to soak in the serenity...how's the serenity 😉😀

This is how we spend our Sunday morning, blue skies, the sun is out and so are we spreading some fertiliser for the cherry trees. The Farm Hand (aka, Carolyn) did most of the hard work as I was busy taking the photos.

The trees are slowly waking up with the buds swelling up. Not long now until we start getting some green tips and flowers to follow 😊

Well, we've had almost 110mm of rain over this weekend, and it was a close one as we almost flooded over. Our exit road did flood over but luckily there are no cherries on the trees at the moment.
Now that this rain front has passed its back to pruning the cherry trees for this upcoming season.
We were a bit busy this morning though in our blue gum patch making bunches for florists, as we had to watch out for the river going across our patch. The rain may be over, but it will take couple days for the water to drain off.
