Well, blossom time has ended and now we get to see if the bees and rest of nature did good.

Pollination is pretty much finished and we nervously wait to see how much fruit has set.

The orchard is looking green again and not long now we will see some red coming through. 🍒

Okay okay, this is the last cherry bloom vid, we promise 😊 ...but how awesome is Spring?

Well, we're still busy pruning, but thankfully only couple rows left. This particular row was starting to get too big so we made the decision to give it a major haircut. In a couple years this row will be back to producing delish cherries 🍒
Andrzej had to open the double gates to get the prunings out of the orchard, luckily the gates were just big enough 😅

This is how Andrzej inspects the cherry blossom, we think he gives it the tick of approval at the end there 😂
Not long now and baby cherries will be seen and hopefully the weather is kind to us and we'll have a bumper crop for everyone to enjoy. 🍒🤞

The cherry trees are blossoming, the bees are buzzing, the sun shining and well, the entire orchard looks amazing right now. Some rain is coming but hopefully only for a short time and the sun can come out again.

Even though our orchard is fully netted, we still get the few pesky and very determined birds coming in and having a feast on our cherry flowers. We do our best to keep them at bay, but they always find ways to get into the orchard. 🦜
Fingers crossed 🤞 they don't eat too many flowers so they become delish big cherries 🍒😋

What a gorgeous day today! Andrzej took the opportunity to inspect the orchard and just wow...the cherry trees are starting to blossom, the bees are buzzing and Andrzej is also in a buzzing mood 😉😅 🐝
It's pretty clear Andrzej has had some fun in the orchard today, he thinks his shots are pretty good...what do you think?

Our cherry pollen and nectar is so good that the bees love to get drunk on it. 😂
Have a look at this bee, so full of delish goodness she's flying all over the place, even hitting her head on the cherry buds.
Not long now and we'll have full blossom in our orchard, this gorgeous weather is also really good for the bees to fly around and spread the pollen. 🐝🍒

It was a wet and wild winter so the pruning is taking much longer than usual. We're taking advantage of this gorgeous early spring weather to smash out the trees.
The way we prune you ask...well, if Andrzej can't reach a cherry, it's being pruned. Also, the inside of the tree is nice and clean so that all budding limbs are on the outside, for easy cherry picking 🍒😉
New growth will fill out the middle, so we will be doing this all over again once all cherries have been picked... Yes, we do it every year...and we love it 😁
