We are taking a short hiatus from our regular deliveries to represent the SA Fruit Producers down at the Royal Adelaide Show. If you are planning a day at the show this year, come by and say hi; we’ll be slinging apple juices and slinkies for all 9 days in the Goyder Pavilion. 🎡 🍎

The Shed Door will remain stocked to tide you over while we take a break from the road. All your favs, as always, plus some items you can’t get on delivery, like our crumble pies. Shed Door Daffodils are likely out of stock by the time this is posted. However, more seasonal shed door flowers may be in the works 🤫 🌹 🌸

This is what our trees look like in late winter. As you all know, each cherry season varies from the next. We could start picking these cherries anytime from early November to late December. ⏰ 🍒 The Cherry Timeline

That’s right, we're already talking cherries. While our trees may look a little underwhelming right now, we are taking stock and already trying to predict the season ahead. We’ve had cherry seasons kick off in early November. So in the blink of an eye, we will be back in the eye of the storm. Here’s how it all happens…

❄️ Winter: All about our trees taking a rest. At the end of winter, we can gauge how heavy our harvest will be by looking at our buds.
🌸 Early Spring: Our buds turn to bloom, pollination occurs, and tiny fruit begins to set. Here we get an even better picture of how big our crop load will be.
🍃 Late Spring: The cells of our green little cherries divide and expand.
🍒 Summer: Our little green blobs transform into bright red cherries. Slowly converting sunshine into colour and sweetness.
🚜 Harvest: Then, after months of waiting, our cherries are ready for delivery!

🚚 Delivering Now: Our apples and pears will remain on delivery till late spring. Don’t wait till cherry season for that farm-direct flavour we deliver almost year-round! Details for this week’s delivery below…

Hills and Greater Fleurieu this Saturday

It’s a simple fact that our Cherry Guy customers know well. Farm Direct is the best, across the board. Making the trip to our roadside shed door isn't always plausable. That’s why we started these deliveries. We love our delivery Saturdays. Getting to hit the road and talk to the people who eat our fruit is something that we treasure. Having full control of how our fruit looks and tastes by the time it reaches our customer is an orchardist’s dream. Grown, picked, packed and delivered by the grower. No middleman or supermarket chain in sight. 👏 👏 👏
