Squirrel Park attended the Victorian Colourbration Alpaca Show on the weekend in Bendigo.
Alex took his intermediate female Squirrel Park Bambi. She was moved from dark fawn to light brown. Which put her in for judging on the Saturday arvo. Bambi was well behaved but wasn't placed in a very competive class. Alex also took Bambi in Junior Showmanship and Stockmanship, poor Bambi hadn't seen any of these obstacles before and did not want to partake in any of them. Alex came away with 2 seconds and Reserve Champion handler. On Saturday arvo the Under 15s had a crash course on junior judging. And on Sunday they were put through there paces where they had to judge fleeces and halter class. Alex won this and took out Champion Junior Judge.
We would like to thank the committee, the judges and in particular Sarah for running these events. Also a big shout out to Toffeemont Alpacas for transporting and all the encouragement and help they have given to Alex and also Karen for giving us a lift home. It was a great weekend, with a big smile still on Alex's face.
