After many family dinners, meals with friends, and lots of people telling me ‘you need to open a restaurant’ I decided to test th
e waters and start with a market stall at Plant4 Bowden. Well, it was all systems go as we introduced the market community to the food that forms such an important part of our lives. Before we knew it something that started off as a hobby had turned into a very sustainable family business with a loyal following. Now that Covid has arrived we have had to restructure our business, and whilst we look for a permanent home (away from our home) we would like to bring our food to you via our catering and pick up. Our aim is to provide food of the highest standard using as much local, fresh ingredients and cooking from start to finish – no short cuts. We use pure olive oil, and our lasagnas are made using fresh pasta sheets. Many recipes have been handed down from my family members so they are cooked the way I cook at home…..hence the name ‘My Italian Table’. You’ll find our food has undertones of mainly Southern Italy but a few classical favourites like Tiramisu make their appearance. Of course, we have also tweaked a few things as our palettes change and to take into account different peoples lifestyle choices and dietary requirements.
