Turns out the girls don’t just love their Kimchi. They’ll happily fight over it!

Raven Place makes the delicious ferments especially for the chickens, turning food scraps into something the girls absolutely go crazy for.

From kitchen scraps → to kimchi → to happy hens → to delicious eggs.

Now THAT’S a pretty great little farm-to-community circle.

There’s something pretty special about slowing down and spending an afternoon with the chickens… especially when you’ve got a Maremma keeping a watchful eye over the whole crew.

A day behind the scenes.

What a fantastic day on the farm! We had the pleasure of spending the day with an amazing photographer, Rob from Rob Palmer capturing life here at Limpinwood Layers.

There were plenty of curious chickens, sunshine, laughter and more than a few crazy chicken moments.

We can’t wait to see the magic that was captured and share it with you.

Tomorrow we’re hiding ONE carton of naturally pink shelled pasture-raised eggs among all our cartons at the market.
Same delicious eggs from our happy hens—just with a shell colour that’s a little extra special. We don’t get many of these rare beauties so to make a whole carton is worth celebrating.

If you spot the pink carton first… it’s yours, absolutely FREE!

Ever wondered what happens before your breakfast reaches the market?

Today we are busy checking, grading and packing tomorrow’s eggs. Every egg is carefully inspected for quality, sorted by size, and packed by hand to make sure only the best make it into your carton.

It’s not the quickest job, but it’s one of the most important. Fresh from our pasture-raised hens to tomorrow’s market, with plenty of care in between.

See you tomorrow morning at Kingscliff Lions Beachside Market come early before the favourites disappear!

Chickens eating kimchi? Yep, you read that right.

Our girls are lining up for their kimchi, specially made by 📍4 Raven Place, Clothiers Creek, NSW 2484 . The natural ferments and probiotics help support gut health, which means happier hens and healthier eggs.

It might look a little unusual watching chickens devour fermented cabbage, but around here we believe healthy soil, healthy hens, and healthy guts all go hand in hand.

And judging by the excitement at feeding time… the girls are definitely fans.
