DEDICATION OF THE RODNEY GIBSON CATTLE RING

Last year’s North Coast National Show, we lost one of the best, our dear friend Rodney “Otis” Gibson.
The loss of Rodney was felt by all that knew him.
Tonight, we had the privilege of witnessing the unveiling of the Rodney Gibson Beef Cattle Ring, in honour of our great mate, Rodney Gibson - a man whose passion for cattle and dedication to the North Coast National will never be forgotten.
It's only fitting that the cattle arena now bears his name, a lasting tribute to a man who gave so much of himself to the show community and the industry he loved.
Rest easy, mate. Your legacy lives on every time cattle step into that ring.

DEDICATION OF THE RODNEY GIBSON CATTLE RING

After the first night of last year’s Show, Rodney Gibson, our Chief Beef/Cattle Steward of 15 years, suddenly and sadly passed away.

Rodney had long been an integral part of the Lismore Show family, and his loss was felt throughout last year’s Show by those who knew him.

He left behind his wife, Jess, and three children, Faith, Jack and Adele.

Rodney’s memory will be honoured at this year’s show with our unnamed Cattle Ring renamed the Rodney Gibson Cattle Ring.

The naming dedication will be held at the Cattle Ring at 6.45pm on Thursday, 16 October.

All are welcome. And as Rodney would always say "See you at the Show!"
