Hello, spring. 🌸

A new season has arrived in the Adelaide Hills — and things are already starting to look a little brighter around the vineyard.

The vines may still be waking from their winter rest, but it won’t be long before the first signs of new growth begin to appear.

The first of 2026 is officially in bottle. 🥂

A satisfying sight in the w**ery this week as the first w**es from our 2026 vintage made their way down the bottling line.

From vineyard to w**ery and now into bottle — another vintage taking shape.

We can’t wait to share what’s coming.

Our 2023 Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, enjoyed right where it all begins.

Winter in the vineyard. 🌿

While the vines may look quiet at this time of year, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes.

Pruning is now in full swing, while Mark and the vineyard team are also checking in on our youngest Pinot Gris and Sangiovese vines after last summer’s heat.

Some will bounce back with a little extra care, others may need re-grafting, and a few simply need another season to find their feet.

Growing great w**e takes time — and sometimes a little patience.

It’s all part of building a vineyard for the years ahead. 🍷

Something new is coming to Mike Press Wines… 👀

After years of planning, planting and patiently waiting, our first ever Pinot Gris is almost here.

From the outset, Josh wanted to create a Pinot Gris with real character. Around 7% of the final blend was naturally fermented in oak and underwent wild and malolactic fermentation — a small portion that’s brought beautiful texture, subtle creaminess and added complexity to the w**e.

The final blend is now settled, and later this year we’ll finally get to share it with you.

Our first Pinot Gris. Coming soon. 🥂

Cabernet and Merlot deserve better. 🍷

Once among the undisputed classics, these two varieties have spent a little too long in Shiraz’s shadow. We think it’s time to revisit them.

Our 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is smooth and structured, with dark red fruit, savoury notes and a hint of mint, while the 2022 Merlot brings bright red fruit, earthy tannins and a beautifully silky finish.
