Three years of storms, sunshine, and stretching dinner plates! 🌦️🍽️
As we reflect on nearly 3 years of serving you, we wanted to share the answer to the question we get asked most: "Why do you do all of this for nothing?"
It comes down to Colossians 3:23: "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."
We aren't skilled musicans (like in 1 Chronicles 15:16-22), but like the craftsmen in Exodus 31, we love using our hands and the kindness of others to build up our community.
Beyond that, we do it for the beautiful smiles we see each week; Watching kids eagerly grabbing fresh fruit from the table (a rare sight these days!); Ensuring no one in our community goes without; & the incredible care you reflect back at us - over the times, people have seen us pushing heavy trolleys, asked what we're doing, and been inspired to help, whether by donating or simply helping us push a load over a speed bump!
While we fully rely on your generous donations, our location provided by the Logan Reserve Adventist Church, and the many hands that bless our tables, our ultimate source is God, and His providence is more than enough!
Evidence is in the blessing - 64 families blessed with emergency food, clothing and household items today.
Forever grateful to God’s faithful providers who help support us, either by financial gifts, discounts or helping hands:
- The Fruit Box Group
- Logan Reserve Adventist Church
- Edens Landing SDA Church
- Marsden Park Farmers Market
- Yuen's Farmer's Market Waterford
- Individual community members and all our Team.
Thankyou all once again, remember whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men this week!
Note blessings passed on -
We have been so inundated with amazing furniture donations recently that we have passed some of that abundance onto another great local charity, House of Alms at Logan Hyperdome!
God Bless, see you all next week, same time, same place!
