At the end of the day, you’re buying a bull to get cows in calf, and cattle bred true to type often carry that natural desire to do exactly that. Breeding bulls have a look - it’s much like this.

3R Genetic Spotlight: B&B Blkbd Progress 3015

With the first 3015 born this week at 3R we take a moment to reflect on one of the breeds great matrons.

There’s arguably few cows in Angus history that can top 3015. She’s produced more sons to genetics companies than any other cow in history including her most recent achievement the $800,000USD Koupals B&B Inevitable 509. Her production record stands beyond reproach earning Pathfinder status for 7 consecutive years before going into ET collection. Standing behind her are 4 generations of pathfinder dams. This level of proven maternal performance is a rare gem.

With 3015 now deceased the baton bases to her progeny including 3R donor B&B Blkbd Progress 1032. Progeny born and, to be born, at 3R by Spring Cove Grant 200K & Square B Atlantis 8060 are combining some of the most proven Angus genetics.

Good news, we have options for you from calf at foot 2YO to unjoined Commercial heifers.

This pen of 3R sired customer buy-back heifers has been resynced for sound round AI tomorrow and will sell PTIC this August. They are the right type to make front paddock Angus cows - well grown, big body capacity and broody. Again Montana Jake 1036 is our main commercial heifer joining sire. Jake has an incredible success rate of 98.5% unassisted births but they aren’t just born easily they have plenty of performance. Make a note of this rebuilding opportunity as the grass grows!
