The kid's strawberry patch is well guarded by a local snake! It got stuck in the bird netting, discovered by Arend whilst lifting the net (with a deadly snake in his hands!) I'm more scared then him by these guys, eventhough I often see a few daily.
We pinned it's head down and cut open the birdnetting and off it went.. Go and catch some rodents snake! ;)

Heirloom baby leeks from our farm in Lorinna available now at
Our heirloom leek is an old market gardener's variety originally from Belgium. When Wouter was a little boy he played amongst these leek's ancestors.
Many years later in 2011, after a few years of market gardening, Wouter took on the selection and seed saving of these leeks on his mixed farm in Belgium. Working with them to make them as suitable as possible to his organic growing methods.
In honour of the neighbour who the plants originally came from, we named the variety Alex. Now in 2025 after 10 years of market gardening in Lorinna, Tasmania. We're still growing the same variety and we're still stoked with the feedback we've received throughout the years.
Currently we're supplying a medium sized baby size, absolutely delicious.

Kiddos with their strawberry crop project.
600 plants went in the ground last week. 🍓 The season is starting off particularly wet and challenging, but we're slowly getting some traction.
We love getting some help in the nursery grom the kids here Rohan making soilblocks by hand for our home watermelons whilst I'm cranking the blocks out with the machine by the hundreds for the summer tomatoes zucs, cucs, toms and other goodies.
Finally between the rains doing some weeding with the freshly cut in two and raised cultitrack-weedfix combo in our own Tripoli broadbeans.

When a spontaneous catchup with a friend chef blows your mind: Seeing the achievement of pulling off an amazing restaurant with high quality local produce at the forefront. The producers are known by their names, the people looking after you do a stunning job! The detail to the entire experience from the produce sourcing, the traditional Korean methods to the very last detail! Very special experiences. ❤️ .melbourne
