Never waste bread!

Sometimes my bread-making experiments don't quite go to plan. This loaf was made using a levain (see details in first comment), but I got my calculations wrong and the flour-to-water ratio wasn't quite right.

Even so, the loaf still made it into the oven—and rather than letting it go to waste, it has been given a delicious second life as Cheese and Vegemite Toasts and Pizza Toasts.

A good reminder that even when a bake doesn't turn out exactly as expected, it can still become something tasty!
