Our Story

The Mallee Caper Company is a family owned & managed business which was established in the South Australian Murray Mallee in 2012. Our plantation was subsequently transplanted to Loxton in South Australia’s Riverland in 2018. We grow, process & sell caper buds & caper berries using all locally sourced ingredients. We are passionate about producing fresh, high quality, locally grown produce & the sustainable use of our farm's natural resources, while providing excellent service to our customers.

Our products include: - Salted & pickled caper buds (most commonly used in Mediterranean cooking) - Pickled caper berries (which can be eaten and used just like an olive) - Caper seedlings (grown to order but we usually have some in stock)

Our produce is available throughout the Riverland wherever fresh local produce is promoted & sold, including the Riverland Wine Centre, the Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery, Illalangi, Flavours of the Riverland, The Murray River Walk & Crossfield Cottage B & B.
