Five meals. Two Corned Beef Silversides. One very happy cook. 😏

headed to his local IGA and picked up a couple of Community Co Australian Corned Beef Silversides. Instead of going down the traditional route, he gave them an Al Pastor-inspired twist.

The result?
🔥 Loaded chips
🔥 Nachos
🔥 A toasted sandwich
🔥 Quesa tacos
🔥 A rich Mexican-inspired ramen bowl

This is one of those great value cuts that proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to eat incredibly well.

It’s a great reminder that some of the most affordable ingredients can become the most exciting meals with a little creativity. Cook once, enjoy it in multiple ways, and feed the whole family without compromising on flavour.

Cheesy garlic bread + hot honey… honestly, we don’t think there’s a better combo.

This cheesy garlic bread from is crispy on the outside, soft and buttery in the middle and loaded with melty cheese. To make it even better, she finished it with a drizzle of homemade sweet and spicy hot honey 🤌🏼

And the best part? she picked up all the ingredients from her local IGA, making this such an easy recipe to recreate at home. They are affordable and great quality!

This recipe is perfect as a side, appetiser or just something to share with friends.

Recipe:

Garlic Bread:
1 large sourdough bread
1 whole head garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove fresh garlic, finely minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1/4 tsp black pepper
Salt, to taste
80g butter, softened
2 cups grated mozzarella
1/3 cup grated parmesan

Hot Honey:
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp hot sauce
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Method
1. Slice the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast at 180°C for 35–40 minutes, or until soft and golden. Allow to cool slightly.
2. Squeeze the roasted garlic into a bowl and mash until smooth. Add the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon juice, oregano, chilli flakes, pepper and salt. Mix until well combined.
3. Slice the bread in half lengthways and spread generously with the garlic butter.
4. Bake at 200°C for 8-10 minutes, until the butter is melted and the bread is starting to crisp.
5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan. Bake for another 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden. Grill for 1–2 minutes for extra crispy edges.
6. Meanwhile, add the honey, hot sauce, chilli flakes, lemon juice and salt to a small saucepan. Warm over low heat for 1–2 minutes, until combined.
7. Drizzle the hot honey over the cheesy garlic bread and finish with fresh parsley and extra chilli flakes. Slice and serve warm.
