With the addition of Ennia Cucina ( Italian Restaurant) you can not be blamed to feel as if you were in Italy🇮🇹 Charlie Scalzi's love of wine began with his grandfather Carmine who grew grapes and produced wine for his local community in Italy.Charlie had to wash his feet thoroughly so he could place them in the large wooden vats during crush. When he migrated to Adelaide with his parents, his father Felice continued the tradition and made wine in his cellar. It's these traditions that make God's Hill special. Whether it's the old worker's shed nestled amongst the vines which magically appears as you drive down a dirt road, or the fact that wines taste so much better with estate grown olives and Italian bread handmade by Charlie's wife Ennia, , or Charlie's pursuit of natural and unadorned perfection in his wines, something touches you when you visit God's Hill. It's an unreplicated and superb experience.

❤️ **A Special Wedding Anniversary** ❤️

Yesterday was a very special day as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. 💕🥂

We were delighted to welcome back our dear friends Kate & Denis from Exmouth, making the occasion even more special.

Later in the evening, we were treated to a wonderful surprise dinner organised by Chen and Ting, together with our good friends Steve & Gwyn and Bill & Margaret.

Beautiful food, a few drinks, lots of laughs and, most importantly, the warmth of good friends made it a truly memorable celebration. ❤️🍷

🍷 Charlie’s back! 🇮🇹🇦🇺

After an incredible 13,500 km road trip, Charlie is back at God’s Hill with plenty of stories to share — and he didn’t waste any time getting back into action!

This weekend was all about welcoming our visitors, sharing stories, talking w**e, and answering questions about what we do here on the hill. 🍇🍷

We had the pleasure of welcoming Imma and Mario from the famous Mercato in North Adelaide, along with so many other wonderful people who came to visit us.

Yesterday was a wonderful lunch and meeting with the Deiana family of Amore Mio Ristorante Pizzeria. 🇮🇹❤️

A big thank you to Francesco and his family for their warm hospitality, beautiful company, and, of course, the delicious food prepared by Francesco. 🍝🍕🍷

It was a pleasure sharing stories, especially with his father Salvatore, who is here from Sardegna, Italy, helping his son. Being the same vintage as Charlie, the two of them were almost impossible to separate! 😂❤️

There was so much to talk about — our Italian roots, our stories, and above all, our shared passion and love for authentic Italian food and w**e.

We’re delighted that soon our God’s Hill Wines / Scalzi Estate will be served at Amore Mio — bringing a little taste of the Barossa and our Italian heritage to their table. 🍷🇮🇹
