Just like that June long weekend is on our doorstep!

Our cellar door will be operating as normal all weekend, from 9am-4pm, including Monday, 8th of June.

As always, groups of 6 or less do not need to make a booking. You are welcome to walk in and speak with our team as to what experiences we have available at your time of arrival.

Remember, if we are full up for tastings, you can still have an incredible experience by selecting a glass of wine from our list to enjoy while venturing through our self-guided history tour. Make your way through old cellars and the original winery, learning almost 80 years of history! Anyone under 18 years of age are able to go on the tour for FREE!

If you are spending your long weekend exploring the region with your furry friend, they are always welcome!

We'll get the wines ready! 🍷

We wanted to say thank you for everyone's feedback on the Montepulciano since the release at the start of the year.
We were a bit unsure how the Montepulciano would be received as it is still a relatively new grape varietal to the region. However, it has become a fan favourite for many in recent months and has even stolen top spot for some of the cellar door team too! 🍷😍

🎉🎉SPARKLING PETIT VERDOT IS BACK!🎉🎉

It has been far too long since our shelves were home to our incredible Sparkling Petit Verdot and we want to thank you all so much for your patience! The winery team did not want to rush the process, ensuring our latest release can hold up to its predecessors.

This release is a best of both worlds situation - we have not changed our fermentation style, allowing that incredible aroma and palate to remain while also blending some of the most phenomenal Petit Verdot grapes from vineyards located throughout the Barossa Valley to ensure top quality and phenomenal flavour!

Swing by the cellar door to pick up a few, or head to our website and the team can start shipping to your door!

Hearing the cellar door filled with joyous chatter and laughter never gets old, and our team feels overwhelmed with pride and adoration that they get to share their passion with so many. Introducing our Nine Flowers Gift Set!

Our sunburnt country is nothing short of extraordinary from coast to coast. Beautifully designed and crafted Tawny bottles each adorn one of our stunning state, territory and national native flowers. Each flower holds strong meaning to our lands, and we wanted to rejoice in the beauty that is the Australian landscape. They are a symbol of the beauty and opportunity that Australia gives to grow and prosper in.

Yaldara began on the banks of the North Para River, on the outskirts of a small town in the Barossa Valley. Hermann Thumm, our founder, had the knowledge, the work ethic, and the determination. This land had the rich soil, the grit, and the sturdy foundation. A man from a German colony in Georgia, and the South Australian landscape; not the most likely of pairings, and yet, Hermann showed the land the respect and care it deserved, and in return, the land gave Hermann a place to call home, and make the legacy that is Chateau Yaldara.

We give thanks each day for this beautiful estate, and our Nine Flowers set is a small token of that thanks.

Our cellar door will be closed on MONDAY JANUARY 26. Our cellar door will be open from 9am-4pm all other days.

We hope everyone had a wonderful New Years and the team have enjoyed bringing in the first week of 2026 with some incredible visitors! 🍷🌞

The elf’s been officially evicted from the Chateau!

Sam’s practising for the rugby World Cup being hosted in Australia next year whilst doing exactly what every parent has been wanting to do since the start of the month! 😂😂

We’re so excited to welcome all who visit in the year ahead! As this year comes to a close, we want to say a massive thank you to all that have continued to support us and those who took a chance and visited us for the first time! You all truly make the world of difference and we are so honoured to be a part of your Barossa experience!

Remember, we always have space for everyone. If we can’t fit you in for a wine tasting, we can always pour you a glass of wine instead to enjoy on the self-guided tour!

Our cellar door team will be taking a few days off over Christmas and New Year so they can have some well deserved time with their loved ones.

The cellar door will be closed on the following days:
24th December
25th December
26th December
1st January

All other days we will be open as normal from 9am-4pm and the team are looking forward to welcoming all who stop by!

From all of us at Chateau Yaldara, we are wishing everyone safe and happy holidays and thank you all for another fantastic year. We are so honoured to have the joy of meeting so many people from all over who choose to spend their time with us, it really makes such an incredible impact.
