🦙✂️ Well, that’s shearing done for another year! 😅 A huge thank you to all our helpers for today 🙏 You made the day so much easier & fun & exciting watching the fleeces being harvested.
It’s a pretty special part of what we do because, as being both an alpaca stud and a working woollen mill, we get to follow the journey from alpaca → fleece → yarn.
Our own alpacas provide much of the fibre for our yarns, supplemented with carefully selected fleeces from local Victorian growers.
That means our fibre is traceable from the alpaca that grew it, through our mill, to the finished yarn.
This year’s fleeces are now waiting to begin their transformation into next year’s Fibre Naturally Alpaca Allure yarns. 🦙➡️🧶
