If you are in Mackay QLD head to the harbour. A 5 minute (ish) drive from the CBD you will find a collective of 3 restaurants. One with seafood, one with pub meals and one with the best steak. Amazing views and a great atmosphere and cold drinks - it is definitely worth a visit.

Margaritaville in the Bahamas. We didn't do the resort pass or beach day but stopped in for a drink aftet walking to the pier from Atlantis. Wish we hadn't eaten earlier cause the food looked amazing! Not cheap by Australian standards but then again nothing was on this trip 🤣.

We recently took the MSC Cruises Meraviglia from Brookyn to the Bahamas.
Firstly what a gorgeous ship. The diamond staircase is a show stopper and the ceiling reminded me of Fremont Street in . Food was great, plentiful and always had something we enjoyed.
What was lacking was the service. With the exception of the last day when they were probably trying to get extra tips, I waited for ages at the bar or for anyone to come around and take our order. I am not a tall person but when the bar tender stares straight at you, then walks away, makes you wonder.
We still had a fabulous time, but if they improved this one thing would have been almost perfect.

We walked (waddled) out super full and paid around $35 US total. We had the drinks package so they were included.
If you arent a big eater, this is a great option.

It's been way too long between posts. Finally took a holiday to Brooklyn before a cruise and were desperate to find a decent Reuben. Enter Mile End Deli on Hoyt St.
Large portions, great service, delicious. Head here is if you are in the area and want a great sandwich.
