For the first time Lindley Park participated in the ABBA feedlot trial. We entered 20 steers that are all out of our bull breeding herd. All dna tested and calf recorded with pedigrees. Predominantly polled grown on coastal grass and Leuceana.

We are very happy with the results.
Average carcass weight was 377.6 kg Top of 436.9kg
Average $3,145.25 top of $3,407.82
Average teeth 2
Average fat 12
Highest EMA was 96. Competition winner was 99
Highest individual daily weight gain was 2.41. Competition winner was 2.82.
Average daily weight gain was 1.94kg.

From a commercial focus we averaged $2,179.49 per head after feed costs. Based on entry weights that equates to $4.79 per kg for the steers as feeders. Well above the price for Brahman feeders at entry.

Lindley Park Lady 1113 with her first calf. Lady is a homozygous polled daughter of V8 Pollen Phenom. She is a granddaughter of Rockley Miss Elly. Lady’s central production index is 55 and live export index is 43. She is a 3/4 sister to Lindley Park Ranger who sold to Skyview Brahmans for $60,000. Lindley Park Kissarone with her first calf. Great to see heifers proving to be functional. Maternal and perfect udder. Kissarone is a daughter of one of our favourite Neslo cows and is by Mt Callan Saxby. Her days to calving ebv is -10.2 her central production index is $45 and live export index is 65. A future donor in the making.
