Uranongo Blonde d'Aquitaines

Uranongo Blonde d'Aquitaines Uranongo Blonde d'Aquitaine sire’s progeny are high yielding and high growth with large ema. Our stud herd supplies sires to our commercial enterprise.

Located in Western Australia, south of Perth, Uranongo Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle stud breeds polled and horned bulls that are easy calving and have a quiet temperament, the bulls produce fine b***d, high yielding, high growth calves with large eye muscle area (EMA) therefore increasing the producer's profit. The stud cows are run with our Angus and Murray Grey cows and are expected to excel in com

mercial conditions. The blonde's fine bones are an advantage because we don't want to waste time and money growing waste products. The Blondes small heads, lightweight hides, a small gut & heavy, deep muscling supports the blonde's high meat yields and dressing percentages. The commercial cattle consist of Murray Grey and Angus crosses. The Blonde crossbred calves are either sold off at 10 months as weaners, over the hook or placed on grain for 90 days and then over the hook, depending on the season and market forces. Uranongo’s versatile bulls enable us to have a choice in an unpredictable and often unforgiving market. When we sell the cross bred calves straight to the processor we find that we can make the most of the Blonde's high dressing percentages. We average 59% for dressing percentage and have had no penalties for being under or over fat, our average for fat cover is 8.5mm for our cross bred calves.

We have been pretty quiet for a while, but Graeme and I were checking the bulls and we thought this bloke deserved a mention.
Imperial H-Polled Rex (PP) has been waiting in the wings til now. Rex has been DNA tested as Homozygous Polled, his temperament and feet have held up beautifully. We brought him from Chris Greig’s Imperial Blondes Stud in 2022.
Rex’s first drop of calves have now had their 600 weights and scans done, now we can be confident in his genetics.
He’ll be one of the main bulls we use in the 2025 mating season.
