D A D
6 years today the oceans tides took you from our arms and sweep you up into the big blue abyss in the sky.
I miss those sparkling green eyes, full of curiosity, mischief and love.
I deeply miss our long conversations. You were always a patient listener, who had an innate sense of calm when gifting me advise.
We both loved gardening. A shared love and passion, our happy place.
I'm forever thankful for the creative gene I inherited from you. You were and still are an inspiration when it comes to creating.
You could fix anything. I fondly remember being your shadow on many occasions as you built paths, patios and restored furniture.
You taught me so much, thankful.
Your ability to listen to a tune and then play that piece by ear, was a joy to listen to. Our jamming sessions in the shed were our jam...miss that.
Your love of the arts, a creative mind that orchestrated your hands to create many beautiful drawings and paintings that will always stay with me.
You always said I should pursue a career in food. That I had a great sense of flavours and a creative mind to bring it all together...You believed in me right from the start.
You're one of the driving reasons my journey in food grew and became a legacy to the many recipes both families made.
Always by my side, you've left a huge hole in my pickled heart ❤️
