Perhaps the most exciting story of the 2023 Single Vineyard Series release is the return of Kraehe House Block Shiraz, the vineyard located at Neldner Road, Marananga, here in the Barossa Valley.

The Kraehe House Block is more than just another vineyard in our portfolio. It is quite literally home. Planted in the early 2000's when the restoration of our Cellar Door house was being completed, this estate block runs parallel to the old bakehouse, Cellar Door lawn many of you have wandered through when visiting us.

We are proud to bring it back into the Single Vineyard Series, adding yet another estate-grown Shiraz to the collection. For us, it is a full circle moment. Estate fruit, grown steps from where our team welcomes guests each day.

Each year, our Single Vineyard Series tells the story of place. Six individual vineyards, six unique expressions of Shiraz, and six w**es that capture the nuances of site, and vineyards that have a bit of x-factor. The 2023 vintage is no exception.

The 2023 growing season was one of the coolest in recent Barossa history. Patience in picking decisions was rewarded with w**es of exceptional perfume, detail and natural balance. Rather than power alone, this vintage is defined by elegance and freshness.

With the release of the 2021 Flagship Series the cellar door team got together with Richard and Jett to taste and learn about the new w**es. What can we say, they are delicious!
