Metes Hedge Trimmers would like to advise that after 34 years of tree trimming we have stopped taking any more bookings and the business will be ending at the end of June 2024

Mete’s Hedge Trimmers - About Us

Mete’s Hedge Trimmers is a locally owned and operated contracting business located in Mareeba, near Cairns in Far North Queensland. Mete’s Hedge Trimmers specialises in tree trimming of orchard crops such as Mango, Lychee, Avocado and Citrus to name a few. They also perform maintenance trimming for local councils and state controlled main roads.

Mete’s Hedge Trimmers was established back in 1991 by brothers Mimmo and Vince Mete, both Mango farmers at the time looking to improve efficiency and production. They purchased their first machine and began trials on their own properties, before contracting to local growers. In 1993 Mete’s Hedge Trimmers were the first company in Australia to import a self-propelled tree trimmer.

Today the business is owned by Robert Mete (Mimmo’s son). Mete’s Hedge trimmers has a fleet of 6 machines and can tailor the trimming to suit each growers demands. For more information contact Robert Mete on 0438-924-734 or email [email protected].
