A 2005 Firetail Merlot, 21 years since harvest, opened today and still a treasure, holding its colour well with a beautiful forest floor and floral nose, soft plums and raspberries on the palate. Perhaps the w**e for dinner with Scotch Filet.

A delightful find as we approach 25 years in the w**e business.

Furthering our role as an Eco Vineyard demonstration site, we are creating diversity in the mid rows with a trial seed mix, growing well even though the ground is saturated and the overnight grass temperature is cold.

Its mid winter and we are collecting plenty of farm eggs. Tonight, it's hand made fettuccine for dinner. Accompanied by a beef ragu sauce and a generous glass of 2025 Firetail Malbec, dinner will be complete.

Our 2012 Firetail Just Desserts is close to sold out. Great with dried fruit and dark chocolate after dinner or a tablespoon of w**e poued over a generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
