Righto, it’s about time we introduced one of our longest-serving staff members...

Meet Bear – the resident pub dog!

Now before anyone says it... yes, we know the pig out the front is the Tavern’s official mascot!

But once you wander through the front bar, past the dining room and into the beer garden, chances are you’ll be welcomed by this old bloke.

Bear’s part of the family and the beer garden is his home. His daily duties include keeping an eye on the bar from a distance, collecting pats from the locals, convincing the kids to “accidentally” drop a few chips, and knocking off for a well-earned snooze in the shade.

We get asked all the time why Bear gets to hang around the beer garden when other dogs can’t.

Simple... Bear lives here. He’s our resident pub dog.

So next time you’re in, make sure you say g’day to the old fella. He’ll never say no to a scratch behind the ears—and if you’ve got chips, he’ll probably become your new best mate.
