You're already thinking about it, aren't you.
What to make. Who's coming. Whether you have time to do it properly.
Here's a start — Greek salad, orzo, tzatziki, pita. Add souvlaki if the weekend feels generous.
What's on your table this weekend?

"We grew up watching Yiayia Eleni squeeze every last thing out of a season. These tomatoes won't be around much longer. She'd have them on the table tonight.
What's the last thing you cook before autumn takes over?

There are recipes I still look up. And ones I couldn't write down even if I tried — I just know them.
Some people are like that with everything. No measurements. No timer. Just years of making the same thing until their hands know what to do.
This is one of those weeks where I need the cookbook. And that's fine.
What cookbook never leaves your bench?

This is our dearest friend, Yiayia Helen.
Her homemade pavlovas were always divine! Perfection every time!
And then one day she made it her own, pavlova topped with Evia yoghurt. Just Yiayia doing what Yiayia’s do: quietly making everything better.
There’s a generation of women who cooked like this — by instinct, by love, by sheer force of personality.

Different word. Same hands. Same love.
Every culture has a grandmother who fed you before she asked how you were. Who cooked without measuring. Who made sure nobody left hungry.
We want to meet yours.

Yiayia Eleni had one rule: nobody left the house hungry.

No grabbing a coffee on the run. No skipping breakfast. You sat down, you ate something real, and then you could go.

This is her bowl — Evia Greek Style yoghurt, fruit, some crunch and honey of course! Simple, generous, and honestly kind of perfect.

Some things shouldn't change.

Find Evia Greek Style at Coles in NSW and Queensland — look for Yia Yia in the yoghurt aisle.

What did your nanna always insist you eat before walking out the door?

Yiayia Eleni’s love language was hospitality — the Greek way.
A big smile welcomed you, food before you could say no, and never-ending stories.
Our family traditions are still going strong — because some things should never change.
What do you love about your nanna?
