Happy New Year Gympie! Big Dog BBQ here to let y’all know that we will be back in operation this week at Mitchell’s Fruit and Veg Shop(33 Graham Street 4570). We will be set up this Thursday the 5th of January from 4pm to 8pm. Feel free to come join us this Thursday evening for some Smokey meat treats and soulful sides. In addition to our usual menu we will be offering as a special, a reverse seared porterhouse steak at $18. Hope y’all can make it out for a feed and thanks as always for the love and support Gympie. 😊

SMOKED BBQ MENU

MEATS- beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, cheese kransky, jalapeño cheddar kransky, pork belly, lamb leg, and brisket burnt ends (when available)
SIDES- mama’s potato salad, vinegar coleslaw, bbq baked beans, Mac and cheese, Muddy Mac, and hot chips tossed in our house rub
SAUCES- spicy Texas style BBQ, sweet Memphis style BBQ, and tangy honey mustard

PLATES

SMALL- 1 meat and 1 side option
MEDIUM- 2 meats and 1 side option
LARGE- 3 meats and 1 side option

ROLLS

Filled with choice of meat, sauce, and topped with our crunchy vinegar slaw

BBQ MELTS

Our version of loaded chips. Choose any meat to be covered in two types of cheese and your choice of BBQ sauce. Served with house made pickles and crunchy vinegar slaw.

CLASSIC CHEESE BURGER- filled with lettuce, tomato, onion, house made pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup
THE DIRTY TEXAN- beef brisket roll with double cheese, house made pickles, mayo, and choice of sauce
THE DIRTY DOG- kransky dog in a bun and topped with grilled onions and honey mustard sauce
THE BIG MICHEAL- our biggest burger show casing brisket, beef patty, and pulled pork with cheese between each layer all topped off with lettuce, tomato, onion, homemade pickles, mayo, and bbq sauce
BBQ BACON BURGER- simple but delicious burger with double cheese, house made pickles, purple onion, Mayo, your choice of BBQ sauce, and of course bacon

Morning Gympie, Big Dog BBQ here. We have a large event we are cooking for on Saturday this week and will not be attending our Thursday service at Mitchell’s Fruit and Veg Shop. Sorry for any inconvenience as we hope to see y’all the following week for our first Thursday service of the year(5th of January 2023 at 33 Graham Street 4570 from 4pm to 8pm). Have a great time this week Gympie and we will see y’all in the new year.

Good afternoon Gympie, from all of us at big dog BBQ we would like to wish you all a safe and merry Christmas, we will be closed for our Xmas busy period and and re opening on the 29th of December for our final service of 2022.

Big Dog BBQ here to let y’all know that due to potential rain and extreme heat we will be operating out of our 561 Mcintosh Creek Road location tomorrow night (the 8th of December 2022) from 4pm to 8pm. Feel free to come join us at our homestead location for some Smokey meat treats and soulful sides. In addition to our usual menu we will be offering as a special, a reverse seared porterhouse steak at $18.
