Last month I learned that a beautiful friend of mine is battling Breast Cancer for the second time. Caner is so cruel & unfair. I really can’t get my head around why she has to fight this fight again.
I try my best to remain very positive since my diagnosis & treatment, but honestly I’d be lying if I said I didn’t worry about it coming back.
So please check in on a friend who has battled cancer. They may look fine, but I guarantee their life has never been the same since they joined the dreaded C Club. Chances are they are living with chronic fatigue, pain, aching muscles, joint stiffness & more…

It’s the 1st day of the month, so a reminder to check your B***s ladies! Regular breast checks are so important for early Breast Cancer detection. Did you know you can ask your doctor for a free mammogram from the age of 40 (you don’t have to wait until you’re 50).
I was supported by many charities & foundations that I never knew about before my own fight.
When I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019, I was encouraged to reach out to Camp Quality by one of my incredible Breast Care Nurses. Camp Quality have been helping kids with cancer for a long time, however what I didn’t know is that they also help kids Impacted by cancer. Kids that have a parent with cancer or a sibling with cancer.
A Cancer diagnosis & the fight that follows is bloody hard. Having Camp Quality there to support my kids was a godsend. Anything to take their minds of Cancer, when I was feeling so sick. We went on family weekends away when I was having chemo. I could barely make it through the day…. Let alone plan a weekend away, so this was amazing for us.
My kids got to meet other kids whose parents were fighting cancer, which helped make them feel normal during a very abnormal time. They were able to talk about their feelings & ask lots of questions.
I met some incredible warrior women who were all at various stages of their treatment. Sadly one of these women has since lost her battle.
Camp Quality are still with us today, checking in to see how I am & how my girls are.
