Centre of gravity is everything when it comes to keeping a tractor upright.

Add a slope, a heavy load or a raised attachment and that balance point shifts fast, often faster than you'd expect. It's why rollovers remain one of the leading causes of death on farms.

Before you take on a hill or hook up a load, take a beat and check your stability. WorkSafe Victoria has a quick tractor stability guide worth a look.

Want to walk your machinery through it with someone? That's exactly what our free, confidential on-farm safety visit is for.

Culture isn't built with posters and paperwork.

It's built through what people see: a helmet worn, a seatbelt buckled, a decision to stop and reassess when the pressure's on. On every farm, someone is watching how you work and what you walk past, you accept.

Safer farms aren't made by a single big moment. They're made through thousands of everyday choices, so think about the example you're setting - because the way we work today shapes the culture we leave behind.

Set the standard. And if you'd like a hand, our free, confidential on-farm safety visit is here to help.

The simple things save lives. 🚜

Most tractor incidents don't happen because someone didn't care - they happen in the busy moments, when a shortcut creeps in. Four habits make the biggest difference:

✔️ Always wear a seatbelt
✔️ Use your rollover protection (ROPS)
✔️ Slow down
✔️ Keep guards in place

Small habits, huge difference. If you'd like a second set of eyes on your machinery and set-up, our free on-farm safety visit is a no-fuss, confidential way to get it sorted.

One life lost on Australian farms every six days.

In 2025 alone, 53 people didn't come home, and another 182 were seriously injured. That brings the toll to 427 lives since 2019 - more than one person every single week, for seven years straight. Tractors remain one of the leading causes.

These aren't just numbers. They're families, farms and communities. And behind almost every one is something that could have been prevented.

A free, confidential on-farm safety visit is a simple way to get ahead of it. No judgement, no WorkSafe at the door, just a farmer-to-farmer hand up. Let's change the standard.

What a week. 🚜

National Farm Safety Week 2026 reminded us of something simple but powerful. Safety isn't a checklist, it's a standard we set every single day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. The speakers who shared their stories, the panel who didn't shy away from the hard conversations, and every farmer, family member and worker in the room. The energy, the honesty (and the laughs) are exactly why this work matters.

Because behind every safety decision is a person who wants to make it home. A partner. A parent. A mate. A kid waiting at the gate.

So let's keep setting the standard, long after the week is over. Check the gear. Speak up. Slow down. Look out for each other.

Making Our Farms Safer isn't a one-week job. It's all of us, all year.

👉 Follow along for more real conversations, practical tips and stories from the paddock. Together, we're making our farms safer. https://makingourfarmssafer.org.au/
